Day 9
In Charleston, SC

My wife flew into Charleston in the evening. During the day, I took care of some "chores" that needed doing. In the morning, I took my car in to the local Ford dealer for the 15,000 mile service. I then found a drop-off service for my laundry. They washed it for a dollar a pound. It only cost about $15 to do the entire load. It came back all folded up neat and everything. Sure beats spending a couple of hours doing it yourself.

The room we stayed at was fantastic. The buildings are set along the Ashley River in a wooded area. It had the feeling of being in a mountain cabin.

The Lakehouse where they served breakfast and had conference rooms for different events. They had a wedding reception there one night.

The Clubhouse where you can relax or have something from the snack bar. [Don't get the roast beef sandwich. Stick to the turkey or chicken.]

At Charleston airport that evening. There was a C-17 doing practice approaches. I also saw some buildings of one of our subcontractors for the 787, Vought.
