| Day 21 |
| San Antonio, TX to Fort Stockton, TX |
| approx. 312 miles |
| Route: From San Antonio I-10 to Fort Stockton. |
| I expected Texas to be a dry, dusty place. As I found out, the western half is, but eastern Texas is very green (at least this time of year) with lots of vegetation. |

Stop here for some free money. |

The only 80 MPH speed limit I saw on the trip was in Texas. The highest everywhere else was 75. If you get a speeding ticket here, you're just in too much of a hurry! |

Hey Tom! I found a great motor home for your retirement years! |
| I arrived in Fort Stockton. It has a giant roadrunner made out of fiberglass. |

I looks like it layed an egg shaped like a Mustang. |
| Fort Stockton also had an old downtown section and parts of the fort which gave the town its name. |
