| Second sightseeing day at Charleston, SC |
| The Inn at Middleton Place is about 20 miles from Charleston. We drove in for the day for some sightseeing. |

We took the harbor cruise that makes a stop at Fort Sumter, where the Civil War started.
The fort contains ruins from the Civil War period (the brick structures), as well as structures built in 1899 during
the Spanish American War (the black metallic structures).
